1.       What I like about the book? I personally think that A Manual for Writers of Research Papers, Theses, and Dissertations knows to capture the attention of its readers. Though conducting researches are often a complex procedure, this book manages to guide the readers from the beginning of a research process towards its end in a simple language that I believe can be understood by all of its readers. This allows us to be more accurately informed as we work on particular studies. Next, content in this book is strategically organised into specific parts and sub-parts. This makes it easier for readers to find issues and then the ways to resolves them in this book. Author of this book implements appropriate color-coded diagrams, examples as well as representations for readers to get clearer picture of contents. Author also includes and emphasises comparisons of both accurate and inaccurate examples of bibliographical materials in order to prevent readers from making mistakes in their writings.

2.       Brief content of the book: A Manual for Writers of Research Papers, Theses, and Dissertations is a reference revolving around fundamentals in conducting researches. This involves having a definite research problem, thus a research question, guidelines on source citation, and sensible structure of the research works. The book is divided into 3 parts, namely – Part 1: Research and Writing, Part 2: Source Citation, Part 3: Style. Part 1: Research and Writing comprises of step-wise approach to the research and writing process. Part 2: Source Citation covers methods involved in Chicago-style source citation such as author-date style and notes-bibliography style. Part 3: Style guides the readers on proper editorial style that emphasises on writing matters such as punctuation, capitalization, and abbreviations. This section also guides in incorporation of quotations into readers’ writing as well as appropriate presentation of tables and figures.

3.       Does it suit you or any other programs and why? This book suits all students of all programs, as long as they encounter the research module. This book is of beneficial value to all, especially the beginners as it is easy to understand and deliberately focuses on the importance as well as comprehensive guidance on analysing and developing high quality research studies.

4.       Would you recommend this book to your colleagues and why? I would definitely recommend this book to my colleagues as I have found its positive values. I would recommend my colleagues to read up this book even before initiating the research studies, and not only after starting the studies. This is because, I believe this book also gives an early insight of what research is based upon, as well as enabling its readers establish great research skills to produce knowledge that can be applicable to others.
