1. What I like about the book?: It comes with key points, background information and quizzes at the end of each chapter. It is simple enough for beginners to understand the content. In addition, it provides summary for each chapter to reinforce the key points to focus and enhance the understanding. Furthermore, it provides explanation for some of the answer to avoid confusion.

2. Brief content of the book: There is a total of 22 chapters which can be divided into 2 parts. Part 1 which is from chapter 1 until chapter 6 is about the basic knowledge about chemistry. For example, structure and bonding, acid and base, stereochemistry and reaction mechanism. Part 2 will discuss more about the detail of each and every ”member” in organic chemistry such as alkane, alcohol, aromatic compounds and more.

3. Does it suit you or any other programs and why?: This book suits the students in foundation in science as it helps the learning of fundamental concepts and theories step-by-step. It also covers chemical structure and explains the chemical reactions in detail which can avoid confusion. Moreover, it also a helpful reference book for student in pharmacy and pharmaceutical chemistry as it comes with examples and detailed explanations.

4. Would you recommend this book to your colleagues and why?: I would surely recommend this book to my colleagues as it provides sample questions which can let the student to practice. This could reinforce the key ideas at the same time enhance the memory of the reader. It also provides figures of the compound chemical structure for the reader to visualise the chemical compound. This can lead to a better understanding of the chemical compound.
